AKA - JOLEEN
(RIP)
Joleen was born on the 20th April 2001
and imported by us from the USA,
Joleen sadly passed away on the
25th March 2010
from a perforated lower intestine,
following an operation
a couple of days earlier to
remove the remains of at least one,
hedge-hog that she had eaten
whole, spikes included...
that had caused an obstruction in
her intestine.
Joleen was just a few weeks short of being 9 years
old...
but still looked and acted like a
much younger dog,
being an extremely pretty,
healthy, fit and energetic bulldog.
She was a fantastic, fun dog to
have around...a real character...
and will be very sadly missed...
Joleen came over from the USA at 12 weeks old,
and as well as passing the WABA
OB1, the Irondog GDT & IDT3 and the AKC CGC,
she had a very successful show
career, including becoming an
NKC Champion at 3 years old, and
becoming an ABNA Champion at 7 years old,
also winning an ABNA CH class last
Summer, at 8 years old.
Although she was not exactly what could be described
as a prolific producer...
only having 5 pups in 3 breedings...
she produced some nice dogs,
with 3 out of the 5 also going on
to CH out...

producing and sending her over to
us... what only seems like yesterday....

This was a repeat breeding the
first of which was the
first breeding between two champions who both held
BST’s.
Dogs out of these breedings are doing very well in
the USA and in Germany.
Joleen at 3 years old
Joleen is a nice compact 65lb
bitch, who stands 21.5".
She has a very high prey drive coupled with a very
trainable nature
She is extremely athletic and everything she does is
done 110%.

She has gained her GDT title to
enable her to compete in Irondog events.
Joleen competed in the first Irondog (IDT3) event in
the UK,
and obtained her Irondog IDT3
title.

Joleen has also passed an AKC-
Canine Good Citizen

She passed her WABA OB1 test in
July 2006
under the Judge Wade Wilde (USA)

Joleen earned her NKC CHAMPION
status on 13th Sept 2003
and earned her Major requirement towards an
ABA champion status, at 4 years of
age in July 2005.
At 7 years of age in July 2008
Joleen won
Best in Show Standard Female, Best
in Show Standard
and went on to win Best in Breed overall adult at an
ABNA show,
this being a credible achievement for a 7 year old.
These wins coupled with her other ABNA wins at other
shows
meant she had passed all the requirements to also
earn her ABNA Champion Status.

To date Joleen has proven to be an
excellent bulldog, at 8 years of age
she is still very fit and healthy,
and is still even proving that
she has very good conformation in
the show ring.
Joleen at 2 1/2 years old
Joleen was hip scored at just short of 2 1/2 years
old
with the O.F.A. (USA) and they came back certified
'Good'.
Joleen has been DNA tested for the NCL gene
at the University of Missouri and her result was NCL
Clear.
